Issue Details

Description: There is an issue with the latest Windows 11, version 24H2 update which is causing SATURN programs on some problems to crash unexpectedly. Please note, this issue does not affect the assignment and output results otherwise.

Current Status: The SATURN team has found two separate issues. Work arounds have been identified for these.

What You Need to Do

If you are experiencing any unexpected crashes when running on Windows 11 with 24H2 update, it could be one of two issues.

The first is related to "underflows" and can be resolved by setting the environmental variable "set SALFENVAR=mask_underflows". This resolves most common issues.

The second is related to "overflows". If an issue is not fixed by the workaround described above, more complex analysis will be required so please email the helpdesk by clicking the CONTACT button and provide the following details:
