Stay Updated with Real-Time Service Status and Updates
Description: We are aware of an issue affecting SATURN programs running on devices that have installed the Windows 11, version 24H2 update. In some cases, programs may crash unexpectedly. This does not affect model assignment or output results otherwise.
Current Status: The SATURN team has found two separate issues. Work arounds have been identified for these.
If you are experiencing any unexpected crashes when running SATURN on Windows 11 (24H2), it could be one of the following:
1. Underflows - This can be resolved by setting the environmental variable "set SALFENVAR=mask_underflows". This resolves most common issues.
Update: SATURN 11.7.02L programs are not affected because they are compiled with the latest compilers which have been corrected for this. The latest SatWin automatically applies this environment variable, so older SATURN versions launched through SatWin will also avoid this issue.
2. Overflows - If an issue is not fixed by the workaround described above, more complex analysis will be required.
Update: This issue still could affect 11.7. However, where these have happened in the past, we have added internal traps to correct the problem. Hence, 11.7.02L is less likely to hit these rare problems than older versions.
